Gävle Konstcentrum is in charge of the purchasing of art by the local authority and of commissioning public art works. We also register and look after the municipality’s art collection and we arrange regular tours of public art in Gävle. We actively promote serious discussions concerning the city as public space and the significance of art for and in the urban environment.
